🧠 AI.HUB Newsletter: Maybe AI will not leave us all unemployed after all

Hi Humans,

Could it be possible that AI will not leave us all unemployed? And how do you feel about an app that tracks your every move and can't be uninstalled?

Curious? Then all you have to do is continue reading.

But first, a short overview of what have happened in the AI-world since last:

A super tracker that can’t be uninstalled

Have you heard about Microsoft’s 'Recall' — an AI-driven feature for Windows 11?

What It Does:

  • Takes constant screenshots of your activities.

  • Creates a searchable library of your past work.

  • Helps you quickly recall your digital life.

The idea is to provide quick and easy access to your entire digital life.

While the app promises boosted productivity, it has drawn sharp criticism due to privacy concerns—critics fear it could expose sensitive data like passwords.

Although initial reports suggested users could uninstall it, Microsoft clarified that's not currently possible, attributing the oversight to a bug.

Why It Matters

This controversy underscores the tension between technological innovation and privacy.

As AI features become more integrated into our lives, the debate over data security and user control grows ever more critical.

Microsoft's handling of this situation may set important precedents for future AI developments and privacy standards.
